About this event
The Songs of Paul Simon
Presented by Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida Atlantic University – Jupiter
From his teenage years as an aspiring rock-and-roll star, through worldwide renown with Simon & Garfunkel, to his Grammy-winning solo career, Paul Simon has been at the forefront of American songwriting for decades.
Blending folk, jazz, African, and South American musical influences with brilliant lyrics exploring love, loss, and discovery, Simon has created a remarkable musical legacy. His extraordinary contributions to American music earned him the first-ever Gershwin Prize for Popular Song from the Library of Congress.
Join Rod MacDonald and the Humdingers for a fun, low-decibel musical journey through the life and genius of Paul Simon, featuring some of the most beloved songs of our time.
Come listen, learn, and celebrate the music of one of America’s great songwriters!
