About this event
Join Dr. Rocky Ruggiero—a renowned art historian and expert featured on the History Channel, PBS, and NatGeo, for a journey into the "cradle of the Renaissance." Florence produced an unparalleled concentration of genius, from Dante and Da Vinci to Michelangelo. Drawing on over 25 years of experience living and teaching in Italy, Dr. Rocky brings the city’s "open-air museum" to life with his signature narrative style.
Explore the legacy of this creative explosion through its most iconic treasures: Brunelleschi’s titanic dome, Ghiberti’s "Gates of Paradise," and Michelangelo’s unrivaled David. As a specialist in the Italian Renaissance and host of the Rebuilding the Renaissance podcast, Dr. Rocky weaves together art, architecture, and history to reveal how this central Italian town birthed the modern world. This lecture offers an expert’s perspective on a story that is, quite simply, magnificent.
