Sculpting the Female Torso

This instructor will guide students through the process of creating a 24″ to 30″ female torso in clay. Students will learn a step-by-step method of arranging clay blocks according to the position, proportion, and planes of the model before shaping the anatomy. Peter will also demonstrate surface enhancement techniques to achieve a finished product.
Peter Rubino has achieved international acclaim with numerous private, public, and corporate commissions, which include a 12 foot historic monument “Mother of All Life” gracing the Bokyo Research Center at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Beer Sheva, Israel, as well as a 35 foot monumental figure created for the Disney Corporation. Mr. Rubino’s popular instruction book The Portrait in Clay is distributed world wide and has been translated into Russian and Chinese.
