Crowds gathered early at the Baltimore Convention Center to attend the 34th annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show. Security guards kept eager collectors and shoppers at bay until the doors were opened at noon on Thursday, August 21. The overwhelming consensus was that the show has solidified its reputation as the most important art and antique event in the country.

Sales of fine art, silver, estate jewels and Asian antiquities were among the strongest sales reported on the floor during the Opening Day.

The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show is such an iconic event in its sheer size – with over 500 international dealers including the Antiquarian Book Fair and Art Baltimore. It is the largest indoor antiques show in the country and it is one of downtown Baltimore’s longest running events.
