Announces its Collector Lecture and Panel Discussion Series
ArtPalmBeach is considered one of the most influential contemporary art fairs on Florida’s Gold Coast by both critics and art enthusiasts. Over 85 international galleries will be exhibiting contemporary, modern and emerging artists.
Collector Lecture and Panel Discussion Series will include a keynote presentation by Sculptor Albert Paley who will receive the ArtPalmBeach Visionary Lifetime Achievement Award for his innovative use of forging metals in monumental sculptures. There will be a special viewing of the premiere episode of season five of Craft in America, entitled “Forge” a PBS series featuring Paley’s 15 monumental sculptures at New York City’s “On Park Avenue” exhibition.
Collectors will be able to attend eleven complimentary lecture presentations during the four day fair including an interview of “Baby Jane” Holzer -Andy Warhol’s First and Most Famous Superstar; panel discussion lead by Pulchick School’s Executive Director James Baker a special keynote presentation on Korean Modernism: The Untold History led Dr. Robert Morgan, an international critic, painter, curator, and lecturer.
Art in Public Places, the theme of this year’s 17th Annual ArtPalmBeach will include panel discussions by preeminent experts; Dr. Carol Damian, Director FIU Phillip and Patricia Frost Art Museum & Sculpture Park; Kinetic Sculptures – Art in Motion Panel Discussion presented by the International Sculpture Center & Sculpture magazine; Hans Van de Bovenkamp, known internationally for his monumental sculptures, and Lorenzo Quinn, Spain’s most renown public art sculptor.

Living in the present moment with Hans Van de Bovenkamp
Hans Van de Bovenkamp, known internationally for his monumental sculptures, will host a solo seminar during this year’s Art Palm Beach. Emigrating from Holland to Canada, Hans Vans de Bovenkamp studied architecture, which led him to New York during the1960’s where he made a name for himself through his abstract expressionist artworks including fountains and monumental sculptures. To date, he has over 100 compelling sculptures in civic and public spaces.
Meet Hans Van De Bovenkamp as he shares his secrets behind the success of “LIVING IN THE PRESENT MOMENT”, and learn why viewers are drawn to his art and heightened by their sense of imagination and discovery

This WXXI Public Broadcasting production follows world-renowned sculptor, Albert Paley, as he creates 13 original sculptures that graced the median of one of the nation’s best known avenues from June – November 2013. (55mins.)
For “Paley on Park Avenue: New York City” WXXI was granted unprecedented access to Paley and his studios to document the creation of these pieces for a documentary that shares Paley’s incredible two year journey. Paley on Park Avenue is narrated by Emmy Award winning journalist, photographer, and artist Jay Schadler. He has been a correspondent and anchor for ABC News for nearly 30 years, reporting for 20/20, Primetime, Good Morning America, World News and Nightline.

Dr. Robert Morgan, is an international critic, painter, curator, and lecturer who lives in New York City. Professor Morgan holds both an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (1975), and a Ph.D. in Contemporary Art History and Aesthetics from New York University (1978).
