The Fall begins at The ArtQuilt Gallery·NYC with works by Kate Stiassni. Her show, Spaces in Between: Contemporary Textiles, will be presented from September 10 through October 19, 2013
Kate’s unique vision produces spectacular results. Fabric is her paint, and her mastery of the medium with the use of hand dyed fabric gives her work a richness and depth of color that makes her strong and distinctive graphic compositions sing.
Next up in the Fall is Swiss art quilter Cécile Trentini. Her exhibit, Daily Inspiration, will be up from November 12 to December 28.
The ArtQuilt Gallery·NYC is the only gallery in New York focused on showing the best contemporary art quilts from around the U.S. and the world. We believe quilt art is an under-recognized art form, whose sophistication and variety is relatively unknown–something we are trying to address!
