INSTALLATION WILL TAKE PLACE FROM JULY 9–17
—Berlin-based artist Monika Grzymala will begin creating Volumen, a large-scale sculptural installation at the Morgan Library & Museum, on Tuesday, July 9. The work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, July 17, with public viewing on July 19.
Volumen is composed of thousands of sheets of handmade paper, some of them printed with images of autograph manuscripts from the Morgan’s literary collections, connected with bookbinding yarn and suspended from the ceiling of the museum’s soaring, glass-enclosed Gilbert Court. The installation will be on view until November 3, 2013.
