MADONNA DELLA PIETA
Five hundred years ago Michelangelo unveiled what would come to be
regarded as one of the world’s great masterpieces of inspired art and
perhaps the most beautiful sculpture ever created. The Pietá was both the consummate expression of Michelangelo’s artistic abilities and an
embodiment of the divine inspiration that guided his work.
Now, under exclusive license from the Vatican Observatory Foundation,
The Bust of the Madonna from this sublime masterpiece has been
reproduced from a master made from the Vatican’s mold of the original.
This mold was created by the Vatican’s own artisans, and the
reproduction is faithful in every detail to the original.
From the unsurpassed brilliance of the craftmanship to the exquisite
serenity captured in Mary’s face, The Bust of the Madonna from
Michelangelo’s Pietá is a study in the spiritual beauty that was
Michelangelo’s artistic ideal.
